By the early 1920's W.J. Sanders had established itself as the premier trophy maker, commissioned by Hardy Brothers to make the Sydney Cup in 18ct gold and The Kings Cup a gold trophy given by King George VI for the Spring Racing Carnival. W.J. Sanders has been designing and crafting trophies for a wide range of jewellers, sports clubs and other institutions including Hardy Brothers, Fairfax & Roberts, Hoffnung & Co, W Kerr and Prouds since then.
